Our academy is committed to providing a comprehensive and engaging education for pre-school and early elementary students. We believe in creating a supportive and stimulating environment where students can explore their passions and learn together!

OUR PHILOSOPHY

At Justice Academy, we believe that every child is unique and deserves a personalized education.

Our philosophy is based on the following principles:

Child-Centered Learning: We focus on the individual needs and interests of each child, tailoring our activities to their unique learning styles and letting the child guide their own learning journey through play.
Holistic Development: We strive to develop the whole child, nurturing their social, emotional, physical, and creative growth.
Positive Environment: We believe in a supportive learning environment that encourages children to take risks, make mistakes, and learn from their experiences.
A Respectful Learning Environment: We believe in creating a safe and inclusive space where everyone feels valued and respected. We respect the role of families in instilling their values and beliefs in their children. We do not teach specific religious doctrines.

OUR EVENTS

Our learning events are designed to be engaging, educational, and fun for children ages 2-7. However, all ages are welcome to join in the fun!

Some of our activities include:

Play-Based Learning: Engaging in hands-on and sensory activities that promote learning through play.
Storytelling and Literacy: Sharing stories, reading books, and practicing early literacy skills.
Art and Creativity: Exploring various art projects to spark imagination and self-expression.
Games and Movement: Engaging in games and physical movement to promote coordination and teamwork.
Nature Exploration: Exploring the outdoors and learning about plants, animals, and the environment.
Social and Emotional Learning: Developing social skills, emotional intelligence, and empathy.
Public Meet-ups: Having fun at local parks, libraries, and museums!

OUR LOCATION

Our academy is home-based in a Central Dallas location in the West Dallas/Trinity Groves area. Our events are typically held in our home and backyard, where there is plenty of space for children to play and learn safely. In case of inclement weather and large attendance, events may be rescheduled or moved to nearby event space at Arcadia Park Branch - Dallas Public Library.

A PASSIONATE ADVOCATE FOR HOMESCHOOLING

Lilly Justice SATCHELL

Hi there! I’m the founder and educator at Justice Academy.

I've always been passionate about education and helping others, and that’s what led me to start this academy. I have a Master's degree in Professional Counseling and years of experience working in schools and hospitals. I've helped families navigate mental health challenges and find the resources they need. This experience taught me the importance of emotional well-being in education and that too many kids are not receiving the support they need in schools. Seeing the problems in our education system motivated me to homeschool my own kids.

Before starting Justice Academy, I worked in healthcare (mental health and medical), business, and volunteered to lead social justice initiatives. I've always loved being creative and celebrating life with events. I was even thinking about starting a birthday party planning business. But then I realized that learning could be a party too! That’s how Justice Academy was born. We are starting small in our own home/backyard with a few families, and we hope to grow the academy into a bigger space someday. My kids, Kiki and Kai, have loved learning here, and I want to share that joy with other children.

If this is the only thing I leave you with, know that I care deeply about your education. I want it to be both stimulating and enjoyable, but most importantly, I want it to prioritize your overall well-being and teach you the real-world skills you need to succeed. Me and your dad don't trust the public school system to educate or protect you from the challenges facing children today, so we decided to take matters into our own hands.

I hope we can learn and grow together, understanding more about ourselves and building a future filled with happiness, prosperity, purpose, and meaningful connections with others. My goal is to equip you with the knowledge, tools, and support you need to succeed. I believe in both of your abilities to achieve great things, and I'm here to support you both every step of the way.

There's nothing that brings me more joy than watching you grow and learn. I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to educate you at home and create a loving and supportive environment for our family.

I want you to love learning, so I'll teach you everything I can in the most enjoyable way possible. Together, we'll explore the world, discover new things, and build a strong foundation for your future. I hope to instill in you a love of learning, a sense of empowerment, and a desire to make a positive impact on the world.
